Robert Parson

Economic Development Manager - Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust

As Economic Development Manager of the Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust (MDEAT), Robert Parson is charged with creating an empowering ecosystem of relationships, resources, and tools to help ensure that Black residents participate in Miami-Dade County’s economic growth. Parson is a longtime South Florida resident, community leader and has worked for Miami-Dade County for nearly three decades.


Before joining MDEAT, Parson worked as a Contracts Compliance Officer 2 with the Internal Service Department’s Small Business Division. During his Miami-Dade County career, he has earned progressive leadership roles with Miami-Dade Aviation Department, Community Action and Human Services Department and Greater Miami Service Corp. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Morris Brown College. He also obtained supervisor and workforce development certifications from Miami-Dade County.


An avid community servant, Robert Parson, is a member of the Pi Nu chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and serves as president of the Miami-Dade/Broward County chapter of the Morris Brown College Alumni Association.
