G & L Trading was established in 2018.  George Ferguson was an employee of this company and had discussed a possible partnership with the owner. The owner passed away, and Mr. Ferguson acquired the company and hired one of his co-workers.  With the passing of the previous owner, many customers, and suppliers, all within the domestic market, discontinued their purchase from G & L. 

Being of Bahamian descent, Mr. Ferguson began leveraging his background to penetrate the Islands of the Bahamas. He was able to establish contacts and buyers for his poultry supplies, and for construction materials throughout the Bahamas. Within six months, G&L had buyers and distributors of its products in the following Bahamian Islands:  Freeport, Nassau, The Abacos, Andros, Bimini, and San Salvador. Mr. Ferguson also devotes a considerable amount of his personal time as a member of the Local Neighborhood Watch in Lake Worth, Florida. Through this organization, local residents receive voter education, crime prevention, COVID-19 Testing, Safety Precautions, and Vaccination information.
A client of the Florida MBDA Export Center, Mr. Ferguson has penetrated many international trade barriers to acquire contracting opportunities with other Caribbean countries and creating hundreds of U.S. jobs in the process. He is actively pursuing new markets in the Caribbean and LATAM countries.
