Jennifer Diaz, Esq., is the President and Founder of Diaz Trade Law, Miami, Florida USA. Ms. Diaz is a Chambers ranked, Board Certified International Attorney, who specializes in Customs and International Trade law. US Customs and International Trade law can be complex to navigate, and Ms. Diaz is a zealous advocate who will exhaust all necessary avenues to assist her clients. She is persistent and determined to find the best results possible when it comes to working with federal agencies, whether they need assistance with issues relating to the import and export of merchandise to and from the United States, expediting supply chains with robust pre-compliance programs, or more.

An expert in the many Federal agencies that regulate trade, Ms. Diaz frequently works with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA). Ms. Diaz also handles issues relating to “pre-compliance” including ensuring compliance with federal government agencies prior to importation or exportation. She has assisted many clients with intellectual property right (IPR) protection, including recordation with CBP of trademarks and copyrights registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Ms. Diaz frequently assists companies in applying for and being accepted into the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) program, assisting with validations, as well as yearly updates and ongoing training. Ms. Diaz has always been dedicated to customs and international trade law. She worked for KPMG’s Trade and Customs practice, where she helped develop large scale compliance programs for consumer products for Fortune 500 companies (under the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act). Ms. Diaz practiced law at Becker & Poliakoff’s Customs and International trade department for ten years and still serves as an Of Counsel lawyer. While there she chaired the Customs and International Trade department at Becker & Poliakoff for three years. Ms. Diaz previously taught International Business Law as an adjunct Professor at Broward College.
